We love the convenience of online meetings and the Onward app, but there’s no substitute for getting together. That’s why our team plans a variety of in-person events throughout the year, from bigger gatherings like weekend Alumni Retreats and Experience, Strength & Hope days to speaker panels, book swaps, Snack & Chats, Gratitude Brunches, and our infamous Holiday Sweater Parties. There’s also the occasional outing to a local sporting event. There is a cost for some of these bigger events to cover ticket or venue prices, but Alumni gatherings are never a moneymaking prospect and many remain free.

FAQ

Answers to all of your event-related questions.

What do I need to bring?

Yourself. The vibe is casual so pack accordingly. And remember, this isn’t treatment, so phones, laptops, and tablets are all welcome. A notebook our journal is also helpful.

How much do retreats cost?

The registration fee for most of our retreats is $150 to help defray the cost of venue rental and supplies only. Participants cover their own hotel and meals, but we will reserve a block of rooms at a discounted rate.

What can I expect at an Alumni Retreat?

Our goals for our Alumni Retreats are the same as for Onward overall: Community, accountability, and empowerment. You’ll find all of that and more at these very special events. There are speakers, opportunities to share, interaction with staff and other Alumni, and practical tips to help you in your ongoing recovery.
